» Xmas Bonus Reviews

  • "What a cute little match-3! And, just in time for Christmas! I loved the retro feel of this game and the beautiful holiday backgrounds made me wish I lived where it snows. This game has very smooth controls and lets you make matches while new pieces are still falling! That has always been a pet-peeve of mine in these types of games. This is a no-brainer for holiday fun...and don't tell anyone, but I might even play it after Christmas is over!" - gamegirl

"Xmas" and "X-mas" are common abbreviations of the word "Christmas". They are sometimes pronounced "eksmas", but they, and variants such as "Xtemass". The "-mas" part came from the Anglo-Saxon for "festival", "religious event": Crīstesmęsse or Crīstemęsse. In the animated television show Futurama, which is set in the 31st century, Xmas is the official name for the day formerly known as Christmas (which has become an "archaic pronunciation").
