The collaborative shots game “Evolve” will be released this fall and will be available for the next generation consoles, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and PC.
The distributor 2K and American developer Turtle Rock Studios announced the launch of this title that aims to revolutionize multiplayer. It will combine a cooperative and competitive multiplayer experience pitting a team of four hunters against a single monster, in turn controlled by another player.
Set on an alien planet in the distant future, players will be hunting their prey in frantic games 4 against 1. Gamers will experience as a “shooter” in the first person when playing cooperatively with four hunters or third person perspective when they take control of the monster, thus providing “a unique gaming experience”, according to its creators.
“Our philosophy is to build incredibly fun game experiences that we can not find anywhere else”, noted Chris Ashton, co-founder of Turtle Rock Studios. “The cooperative formula against lone wolf Evolve has created some of the most intense multiplayer game I’ve ever seen”, while Christoph Hartmann, President of 2K, was convinced that “Evolve” is “a multiplayer experience that will define a generation”.
