The independent developer Young Horses today announced that its curious and fun game Octodad: Dadliest Catch come to Nintendo Wii U and Xbox One in this middle of year. In the console from Microsoft, the version is being developed by the Young Horses and this will come through the ID@Xbox program (which will also bring other 50 Indies to Microsoft consoles this year). The version for the Nintendo console has participation from the Studio Panic Button Games who also worked on Disney Infinity and Injustice: Gods Among Us.
For those not familiar, the game’s premise is very curious and tells the story of an octopus making it possible to pose as a married man, leaving the player to control its tentacles to perform the simplest daily tasks, which in most cases has hilarious results.
Octodad was released for Windows in January 2014 and was also one of the highlights of E3 2013 Indies, where appeared in the main presentation from Sony. Currently the game is also available on the PlayStation 4, Linux and Mac. Below you can see the official announcement trailer of the new versions.
