The role-playing game (RPG) Pillars of Eternity, formerly known as Project Eternity, won his release date, arriving on 26 March. The game, developed by Obsidian Entertainment, was funded successfully through the Kickstarter with $3.9 million, and will be released through Steam, GOG and other online stores.
The game is spiritual successor to Baldur’s Gate games like Icewind Dale and, and figured in top ten fantastic games to be launched in 2015. According to the developer, the goal until the release date is to improve the game, eliminating bugs and finishing what’s left, which includes the rewards of founders.
The original forecast launch of the game would be for 2014, but the Obsidian decided to postpone ensuring it is not a “buggy” game. Pillars of Eternity will feature versions for PC, Linux and Mac, and promises to be a worthy return to the glory days of RPGs on PC.
